During the live broadcast on Thursday, September 25, ‘It’s Showtime’ host Vice Ganda revealed that Kapamilya heartthrob Donny Pangilinan acted as a good samaritan by helping out conetstants of the show’s ‘Laro-Laro Pik’ segment.
“Ang daming nakapanood ng kwento ng ating mga manlalaro kahapon at ang daming mga naantig ang kalooban… Isa diyan ang kaibigan nating si Donny Pangilinan,” said the Unkabogable Superstar.
She then narrated that Donny personally called her in the midst of his taping, and shared how “broken” he was upon hearing the stories of the featured kariton/streestside vendors.
“Sabi niya, ‘Nadurog ako. Hindi ko kinaya ‘yung episode kahapon.’ Tapos sabi niya, ‘May chance pa bang makita mo sila ulit?’…“, with Donny later revealing to Vice that the matinee idol is giving out PHP300,000 to all 20 vendors, who will get PHP15,000 each.
The vendors were then invited back to the show to personally receive Pangilinan’s early Christmas gift to them.
Meanwhile, Vice also had personally told one of the contestants, Rosie, that she is already looking for a home for the woman, which is especially important in the midst of the current inclement weather.
One of them, Mayang, also thanked Donny for the gift as she can now pay off her debt.
Meanwhile, Vice also disclosed that the Kapamilya actor had promised to help more people in the future.
“Ipinangako ni Donny na hindi ito ‘yung una at huling pagtulong niya sa atin, sa mga makakasama natin dito,” with the host thanking him again for his generosity.
