Janine Teñoso holds first sold-out solo concert

It is a milestone for the singer.

On Saturday, September 6, original Filipino music (OPM) singer Janine Teñoso performed before a sold-out audience gallery at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City.

The 26-year-old’s first solo headliner was filled with performances and guest stars, with tbe pre-show alone including acts like Aubrey Caraan, Lee Daewon, and Shanne Dandan.

Over the main program, Janine sang her own songs and covers, and also had special on-stage collaborations with fellow musicians, led by Arthur Nery, Rob Deniel, The Juans, and Cup of Joe, as well as actor Rabin Angeles.

A week prior to the show, Janine expressed her nervousness and excitement through a post on Instagram.

August slipped away that fast? September is here! We announced the con 3 months ago and now, I can’t believe 6 days from now I’ll be singing for my biggest crowd yet! Aaahhh that’s actually crazy! I get to do this?! I get to share this memorable night with you all and I’m definitely making the most of it! Thank you thank u for making this happen,” her post read.

That post just came a few days after the organizers, Viva Live, declared that Teñoso’s concert was already sold out in its own social media post.

Janine started her career by joining simgimg competitions, including TV5’s ‘Born To Be A Star’ in 2016, where she became one of the finalist and was eventually tapped to sign a contract with Viva Artists Agency.

She went on to become known for songs like ‘Di Na Muli,’ ‘Umibig Muli,’ ‘BTNS,’ ‘Hulaan,’ and ‘apat na buwan’. Last May, she released ‘Pikit-Mata’ and its music video featuring Rabin Angeles.
