It also showed the group’s versatility.
On Saturday, August 30, Korean pop group AHOF held their first-ever fan-con in the Philippines, ‘Rendezvous,’ at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
The sold-out show brought together the nine members of the team, namely Steven, Seo Jeongwoo, Cha Woongki, Park Han, Zhang Shuaibo, Park Juwon, JL, Chih En, and Daisuke, and their Filipino supporters in one venue.
Moreover, it is a considerable feat for them to take this affair to The Big Dome, especially with the band, which debuted on July 1 with their first mini-album ‘Who We Are,’ only being slightly less than two months old.
During the night, the group entertained their fans with the performances of their singles, such as their debut track ‘Rendezvous,’ and a couple of exclusive stages presented exclusively to the local crowd.
One of those was their rendition of P-pop Kings‘ 2019 song ‘Go Up,’ which AHOF members sang and dance on stage.
Instantly, fan-cams have spread across social media, earning praises from their own base and A’TINs, SB19’s fandom.
Prior to Saturday night’s showcase, leader Steven expressed his excitement for the show and sought to experience the high energy of the Filipino crowd.
“I was very excited because from [what I’ve heard] from JL and my friends that have been to the Philippines, the fans are just very high energy and welcoming.”
He also teased what they have in store for the program, which he said would include “something you [Filipinos] know” and that turned out to be the SB19’s breakthrough single.
There will be one more chance for fans to meet them as the day after the big show, the AHOF members will hold a fansign event at Robinsons Galleria in Ortigas, Pasig on Sunday, August 31 from 4:00 pm onwards.
