The pair last worked together in a teleserye.
In his recent interview with Julius Babao, Jericho Rosales confirmed that he is currently developing a film project with his real-life partner, Janine Gutierrez.
He told, “We are actually working together now. We are developing a story for film… I can’t announce it muna but you know, we are working on a story, a film that we are developing together.”
Rosales went on to say that him and Gutierrez share the same passion when it comes to cinema, and added, “She recently attended a film festival for Lav Diaz’s film, and she’s telling me all the stories that happened there, and kung gaano siya kabuhay in terms of acting. So, we share the same passion when it comes to [film].”
He was pertaining to Janine’s attendance at the Venice Film Festival in Italy last year for the movie ‘Phantosmia’.
Aside from the film that they are developing, he also confirmed that Janine is also working with documentarist-filmmaker Baby Ruth Villarama, who is known for ‘Sunday Beauty Queen’ and ‘Food Delivery,’ for a docu-film about her late grandmother and Asia’s Queen Songs, Pilita Corrales.
Jericho and Janine’s relationship was first confirmed by the actor himself in August 2024. Back then, they were co-stars in the primetime drama series ‘Lavender Fields,’ alongside Jodi Sta. Maria.
Meanwhile, Jericho is set to top-bill as President Manuel Quezon in the historical biopic ‘Quezon,’ which will hit theaters on October 15.
