TV host Emma Mary Tiglao wins Miss Grand Philippines 2025

On Sunday, August 24, the Miss Grand Philippines 2025 competition took place at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

29 contestants from all over the country competed for the chance of becoming the next national titleholder, who will then represent the Philippines at the upcoming Miss Grand International 2025 in Bangkok, Thailand this October.

Emerging as the winner this year is news anchor and pageant veteran, Emma Mary Tiglao from Pampanga.

Reigning Miss Grand International 2024 CJ Opiaza passed her crown in the national pageant to Tiglao, who will be vying for the Philippines’ second crown in MGI.

The 30-year-old is no stranger to the pageant scene, as she was first runner-up in Mutya ng Pilipinas 2012, Fourth Princess in Miss World Philippines 2015, and was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental in 2019.

In the lattermost, she was able to represent the county at the Miss Intercontinental 2019, where she finished as a semi-finalist.

Prior to joining Miss Grand PH, Tiglao has already established herself as a TV host and news anchor at NET25, where she appears on the late morning show ‘Kada Umaga’ and the station’s flagship newscast ‘Mata Ng Agila’.

Meanwhile, aside from the top prize, additional titles were bestowed to other candidates by the end of the competition.

Named as the Reina Hispanoamericana Filipinas 2025 was Aklan bet Beatriz Abalajon Mclelland, who will attempt to snag the third crown in the said pageant and equal the success of reigning Reina Hispanoamericana 2024 Dia Maté.

Quezon City’s Nikki Buenafe is also going to Face of the Beauty International with the same challenge, as Filipina beauty queen Jeanne Isabelle Bilasano currently holds the crown.

Anita Rose Gomez of Zambales was then declared Miss Asia Pacific International Philippines, while the Miss Tourism World Philippines title went to Taguig City representative Michelle Arceo.

Margarette Briton of Bicolandia was hailed first runner-up, with Rizal’s Beatriz Angela Ocampo finishing as second runner-up.
