On Monday, August 18, a slight change in the opening credit roll showed one major development for the top-rating primetime action drama series ‘FPJ’s Batang Quiapo’.
This, as the show officially welcomed a new producer that will sit alongside join lead star, director, and creative director, Coco Martin, in the said position.
It is none other than Kapamilya prime actress and his real-life partner, Julia Montes.
At present, ABS-CBN Studios, Dreamscape Entertainment, and CCM Productions have not made any official announcement about Montes’ behind-the-scene role in the program.
However, Julia was spotted at the recent ABS-CBN trade event, where she stood alongside Coco as the program thanked advertisers for their support to the show.
The actress is fresh from the success of the series ‘Saving Grace,’ the Philippine adaptation of the hit Japanese drama ‘Mother’.
The said melodrama raked in high viewership during its run on Prime Video from November 2024 until January 2025 and is also being recognized by various international award-giving bodies.
As of writing, ‘Saving Grace’ has nominations in the Seoul International Drama Awards, ContentAsia Awards, and Global OTT Awards for this year.
