One of the much-awaited showbiz events of the year.
On Saturday, August 2, the GMA Gala returns for its fourth consecutive edition at the Marriott Hotel on Newport World Resorts, Pasay City.
This year’s event also complements the network’s celebrations of its 75th founding anniversary.
Taking their turns at the blue carpet rolled out outside the ballroom are GMA executives, artists, news and public affairs personalities, advertisers and sponsors, internet stars (otherwise known as influencers), models, politicians, and other luminaries.
Some of the notable attendees are Kapuso Primetime Royalties Dingdong Dantes and Marian Rivera, Bea Alonzo, Alden Richards, Jennylyn Mercado, Dennis Trillo, Carla Abellana, Barbie Forteza, David Licauco, Ruru Madrid, Bianca Umali, Miguel Tanfelix, Ysabel Ortega, and Korean actor Kim Ji Soo, among many others.
Also at the grand event are numerous showbiz figures, even those associated with former rival-turned-partner ABS-CBN, led by its executives: Chairman Mark Lopez, President and CEO Carlo Katigbak, and COO for Broadcast Cory Vidanes, along with Entertainment and Star Magic head Laurenti Dyogi and Head of Digital Jamie Lopez.
‘It’s Showtime’ hosts Vice Ganda, Anne Curtis, Ogie Alcasid, Jhong Hilario, Ryan Bang, Darren Espanto, and Cianne Dominguez also graced the gala night.
‘Pinoy Big Brother Celebrity Collab Edition’ Kapamilya housemates Brent Manalo, Ralph de Leon, Esnyr Ranollo, River Joseph, Klarisse de Guzman, Xyriel Manabat, AC Bonifacio, Kira Ballinger, Bianca de Vera, and Emilio Daez, along with their Kapuso counterparts, were also spotted at the glam affair.
Meanwhile, days ahead of the event proper, the network was able to raise PHP2.5 million for the GMA Kapuso Foundation’s efforts to those hit by the recent Typhoon Emong and the southwest monsoon (hanging habagat).
The GMA Gala was first held in 2022 and served as the network’s major thanksgiving event for its stars and business partners.
In succeeding years, it quickly became a major affair in local showbusiness, bringing together personalities from across various industries and strata.
