Following his two prior music drops this month.
On Monday, April 21, K-pop singer-performer Kai, a member of the boy group EXO, officially released his fourth extended play, ‘Wait On Me.’
Coinciding with that, the soloist also uploaded the music video for the EP’s namesake title track, which is a pop song influenced by the Afrobeats genre.
‘Wait On Me’ has garnered over 100,000 views on video-sharing platform YouTube, more than two hours it was published.
Aside from the single, also part of the EP are the songs ‘Adult Swim’ and ‘Walls Don’t Talk,’ which were dropped as pre-album tracks earlier this month.
The new extended play also marks Kai’s first comeback since completing his mandatory military service, where he served as a social worker from May 2023 until this February 2025.
Also announced after the end of his service is his solo tour, ‘Kaion,’ which will see the 31-year-old singer-performer visit multiple cities in Asia.
Included in the list is the Philippines, where he is scheduled to hold the concert on Sunday, July 27, 2025, at the Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City.
Kai debuted as an idol back in 2012 as one of the 12 original members of K-pop group EXO, before making his solo debut through the release of the single ‘Mmmh’ in 2020.
Apart from those projects, he is also a member of SM Entertainment’s male supergroup SuperM that was launched in 2019.
