Itzy member Lia to resume idol activities in second half of 2024

The Korean pop idol is gearing up for her return.

On Monday, July 8, Itzy member Lia made a surprise appearance during a live broadcast event to celebrate the fifth anniversary of the fandom Midzy.

Fans were delighted to see the idol, who is now sporting a short hair, after a long time as she went on hiatus in September 2023.

Immediately after that, South Korean talent agency and music label JYP Entertainment announced that Itzy member Lia will soon re-join the rest of the group in their activities.

According to the company, she will be making her comeback in time for the release of the group’s new album sometime in the second half of 2024.

The agency, however, clarified that all activities and engagements prior to the new album will continue to only involve the other four Itzy members: Yeji, Ryujin, Chaeryeong, and Yuna.

Also part of the group’s upcoming activities is the Manila stop of their ‘Born To Be’ Manila concert series, which will take place on Saturday, August 3, 2024 at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.

Itzy debuted in 2019 with their popular single ‘Dalla Dalla,’ which was later followed by songs like ‘Icy,’ ‘Wannabe,’ ‘Not Shy,’ ‘In The Morning (Mafia),’ ‘Loco,’ ‘Boys Like You,’ ‘Sneakers,’ and ‘Cake.’

In January 2024, Itzy released their sophomore album ‘Born To Be,’ which features the title track ‘Untouchable.’
