NBA Finals: Boston Celtics clinches 18th NBA championship

On Tuesday, June 18, (Manila time) the Boston Celtics finished the NBA finals series between them and the Dallas Mavericks with a sizeable 18-point lead, which saw the score at 106-88 by the end of the regulation period.

The victory marks the first championship of Boston since the 2007-08 season.

Their Game 5 win also served as their comeback against their opponent after the disappointing fourth game of the series on Saturday saw Dallas dominate Boston with an overwhelming 38-point lead after four quarters.

Boston Celtics player Jaylen Brown was named the Most Valuable Player (MVP) of this season’s finals.
