Lee Do Hyun to enlist in the military on August 14

The news about the actor’s enlistment plans has been confirmed by his agency.

In a report shared by Yuehua Entertainment, the management of Korean actor Lee Do Hyun, they detailed the plans for the actor with regards to his upcoming mandatory military enlistment.

Yuehua said that Lee will enter basic military training on August 14. Thereafter, he will join the military band set up by the Republic of Korea Air Force or ROKAF.

The agency also sais that there will be no separate event set-up for Lee prior to his formal enlistment. They added that fans “refrain from visiting as it is a private event that numerous military personnel and family members will be attending.”

Lee Do Hyun, who is currently 28 years old, is required by South Korean laws to serve in the military for a prescribed period of 18 to 21 months. This means that the actor will be temporarily inactive in the showbiz scene during this period.

The actor grew in popularity thanks to his roles in several TV series, like ’18 Again,’ ‘Sweet Home,’ ‘Youth of May’. His most recent projects are ‘The Good Bad Mother,’ and the hit Netflix revenge drama ‘The Glory’.

In ‘The Glory,’ he starred alongside current real-life girlfriend Lim Ji Yeon. Their relationship was revealed to the public in April.
