“You can call me mother.”
That is what Golden Globe nominee for Best Supporting Actress Dolly de Leon’s character Molly replied to Kathryn Bernardo’s Philo in the first teaser for the upcoming Star Cinema movie ‘A Very Good Girl’. This, as the Seoul International Drama Awards 2023 Outstanding Star and ‘Asian Superstar’ Kathryn Bernardo, said that de Leon’s character “reminds her [Kathryn] of her mother.”
Announced in late March, ‘A Very Good Girl’ is the first of several offerings Star Cinema has lined up as part of the studio’s 30th anniversary presentations. Aside from that, this Kathryn-Dolly project serves as the kickstarter for SC’s “new era.”
‘A Very Good Girl,’ which is directed by Petersen Vargas, the dark comedy flick will hit local theaters on September 27, 2023. Meanwhile, it is also set to be sent to film festivals next year.
