In time for its 50th anniversary, the Philippines’ Department of Tourism bared to the public on Tuesday evening what it calls an “enhanced tourism campaign.” Gone is the long-time slogan “It’s More Fun In The Philippines,” that was launched in 2012. “Love The Philippines” is the country’s new campaign.
‘Radyo Sais Trenta’ is back: 630 kHz on AM radio returns as DWPM
Three years after the shutdown of DZMM Radyo Patrol 630.
On Monday, June 26, 630 kHz on the AM radio band is back after a long hibernation. Based on its stingers, the station is branded DWPM Sais Trenta (630), with the slogan “Para Sa Mamamayan.” Currently, the radio station is still on test broadcast and only plays automated music for the meantime.
Currently, the owners of the new DWPM 630 have yet to identify themselves through an official station notice. The official launch date of DWPM 630 is also kept under wraps at the moment.
DWPM comes into the picture three years after the end of DZMM Radyo Patrol Sais Trenta of ABS-CBN Corporation on May 5, 2020. DZMM had been the occupant of the prime 630 kHz frequency for nearly 34 years. During that station’s peak, it was the top AM radio station in terms of listenership in Mega Manila.

Brigada News FM to launch Mega Manila’s 105.1 FM
105.1 FM, currently broadcasting as Q Radio, will rebrand in the coming weeks as Brigada News FM. The news was confirmed today by Brigada’s official social media page. Last week, Q Radio announced the cessation of the station’s ops after three years on the air.
Sandara Park releases scheduler for upcoming debut EP
The ‘Pambansang Krung-krung’ is now a K-pop soloist!
On Monday, June 26, 2023 (Seoul time), through her personal social media accounts, Sandara Park posted the scheduler on the release of her first solo extended play in the Korean pop industry. The EP is also titled based on her real name ‘Sandara Park’.
The former 2NE1 member will release several promotional materials from June 28, 2023, in the lead-up to the release day on July 12, 2023.

Hwang Minhyun to visit Manila this October
Hwang Minhyun is coming to Manila!
Idol-actor Hwang Minhyun is set to hold his first-ever solo event in the country on October 8, 2023. Titled ‘Unveil,’ it will be a mini-concert set to take place at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City. Other details have yet to be revealed by the organizers.
Hwang debuted in 2012 as part of the group NU’EST. He was a member until 2022, when NU’EST disbanded after a decade. In 2017, he participated in the survival show ‘PRODUCE 101 Season 2’, and eventually joined the project group WANNA ONE until 2019.
He launched his solo music career with his extended play ‘Truth or Lie’ in February this year. Outside of his idol career, Hwang has also been cast in multiple television series like ‘Alchemy of Souls,’ and ‘Live On.’
HIGHLIGHT’s Son Dong Woon to marry non-showbiz GF this year
Through a personal handwritten letter, HIGHLIGHT’s Son Dongwoon shared an update regarding his personal life.
The 32-year-old idol announced that he is set to marry his non-showbiz girlfriend in September this year. Son also added that the ceremony will be an intimate ceremony, with only invited family members and close acquaintances. The venue and the date will not be disclosed as well.
His label Around Us Entertainment stated that he will still continue with his activities as an idol and entertainer after the wedding.
