This is a friendly reminder that the shutdown date is nearing.
By November 22, 2026, all analog television stations will be switched off for good in Mega Manila, which covers the National Capital Region (NCR), Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Rizal, as well as portions of Pampanga, Laguna, and Bataan.
This move means that all stations still broadcasting on the following frequencies will no longer be seen, subject to their respective shutdown dates.
- ALLTV (ch. 2)
- PTV (ch. 4)
- TV5 (ch. 5)
- GMA (ch. 7)
- RPTV (ch. 9)
- A2Z (ch. 11)
- IBC (ch. 13)
- NET25 (ch. 25)
- GTV (ch. 27)
- One Sports (ch. 41)
- INC TV (ch. 48)
At present, ALLTV has announced their own analog switch-off to be happening on Friday, October 30, with other networks expected to follow suit in the coming days.
This move is in line with Memorandum Circular No. 005-11-2025 of the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), which directs terrestrial networks to completely move their broadcasts to digital television by November 22.
What this means is that those who are still using older analog antennas are required to replace that with new digital set-top boxes that have antennas included upon purchase. For digital TV-ready television sets, it can also be as easy as purchasing a new digital TV antenna.
Viewers are then required to complete the installation and scanning process to receive the channels in their area. The process can be completed by following the instructions set by the manufacturer.
For those who are watching television via pay television via satellite and cable, as well as those who are already using digital TV antennas and set-top boxes will be able to continue watching their favorite shows.
At present, the NTC has not yet announced any switch-off dates for other provinces and regions in the country.
