She wrote this as she ended her reign with the crowning of the new set of queens last weekend.
Ahead of the Miss Grand International (MGI) 2026 pageant in Bangkok, Thailand last Saturday, October 10, last year’s winner and Filipina beauty queen Emma Mary Tiglao shared her farewell message as her year-long reign comes to an end.
“It has been one of the greatest honors of my life to be your Miss Grand International 2025,” she wrote in the caption of a post, where she showed her glammed up look while wearing her finale gown and the MGI crown.
She continued, “As I pass on the crown to a new Queen, I carry a heart full of gratitude, unforgettable memories, friendships that became family, and a purpose that will forever remain.”
She then reflected how being the winner of last year’s competition has affected her as a person.
“This journey has given me so much more than a crown. It has changed me, touched my soul, and allowed me to make a difference. Though this chapter ends, I know God has something beautiful waiting for me next,” Emma wrote.
She then thanked everyone who believed amd prayed for her, and became part of her incredible journey. “[M]araming, maraming salamat. You will forever be in my heart,” she said.
“The crown may be passed on, but the purpose remains. Forever grateful and always ready for what comes next,” Tiglao added.
“Pilipinas, mahal na mahal kita,” she concluded the post.
Meanwhile, in a separate upload, Emma shared: “God gave me this crown when my heart was ready and my strength was enough to carry its responsibility.”
“I have learned that dreams have no deadline and no age can limit what God has planned for us. The journey may not be easy, but trust His timing. He will lead us where we are meant to be,” she continued.
She then expressed her hope that the next MGI queen will wear the crown with “pride, humility, and the courage to inspire and make a difference.”
“I am Emma Mary Tiglao, your forever Miss Grand International 2025. This is not goodbye, but the beginning of a beautiful new chapter,” she wrote.
Prior to joining Miss Grand International 2025, Emma Tiglao is no stranger to the pageant scene.
She was first runner-up in Mutya ng Pilipinas 2012, Fourth Princess in Miss World Philippines 2015, and was crowned Binibining Pilipinas Intercontinental in 2019.
In the lattermost, she was able to represent the county at the Miss Intercontinental 2019, where she finished as a semi-finalist.
Tiglao has already established herself as a TV host and news anchor at NET25, where she appeared on the late morning show Kada Umaga and the station’s flagship newscast Mata Ng Agila.
This year, Filipina representative Angelica Lopez finished her journey in the Top 25 of the competition.
