Bringing fans to the Y2K era.
In a series of posts on the official account of the band, Filipino K-pop star JL Gaspar, a member of the boy band AHOF, treated fans with his versions of popular songs that came to define the mid to late 2000s.
The 22-year-old singer-performer first did a rendition of Craig David’s Insomnia, which caught the attention not only of fans, but by many casual viewers who were mesmerized by his voice.
The clip has since amassed over 1.9 million views on X, formerly Twitter, since it was uploaded last Saturday, October 10.
With the warm reception, JL shared another clip the following night, Sunday, October 11, where he covered Ne-Yo’s Mad, which he described as the “starter pack” for yearners.
Once again, that tugged the hearts of many and has since received more than 1.8 million views.
JL would later upload another pair of videos, with his next cover being the Iyaz’s Replay, which he followed up with Sean Kingston’s Beautiful Girls, which have also received warm reception from fans.
Gaspar entered the industry as the youngest member of the P-pop boy band PLUUS, which was launched in March 2023 under the label SBTown.
In 2024, he would join the K-pop survival reality show Universe League, where he made it to the final lineup of AHOF, which comprises eight other members namely Cha Woongki, Park Han, Steven, Zhang Shuaibo, Park Juwon, Seo Jeongwoo, Chih En, and Daisuke.
The group unveiled their debut mini-album Who We Are in July 2025, which was was followed by The Passage in November 2025.
Last July 8, the unveiled their third extended play, Run To You, which carries the lead single of the same title.
That same month, they also held their successful two-nigh concert at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City, which is part of their The First Spark Tour.
