Retiring the iconic talk show brand after more than three years in its revived run.
Over the past few weeks, Kapatid and Kapamilya viewers witnessed reruns of the late morning talk show Face To Face With Ate Koring, which is hosted by seasoned broadcast journalist Korina Sanchez-Roxas.
The said move was a necessary transition as after nearly seven months in its current setup as a light and lifestyle-leaning show, a stark contrast from its days as a tabloid talk show, Face To Face has bowed out for the second time on Friday, October 9.
This, as starting Monday, October 12, Sanchez-Roxas, the show promises to be more fun as it continues to bring uplifting segments every weekday as it becomes Gandang Mornings With Ate Koring
Also confirmed for this new format are Laila Chikadora and Cheena Crab, who continues to fulfill her duties as the Pera Godmother.
The reformatted show also remains on its current time slot at 11:00 am, before Eat Bulaga on TV5 and It’s Showtime on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2 and the Kapamilya Channel.
Face To Face With Ate Koring made history last June after becoming the first TV5 original production to air on ABS-CBN platforms under a renewed and expanded partnership between both networks.
Since then, more crossovers between both networks have been witnessed, with the likes of Coco Martin’s Sigabo, Someone, Someday, A Secret In Prague, My Bespren Emman, and even Sanchez-Roxas’ other show, Rated Korina, airing across these platforms.
Meanwhile, Face To Face dates back to the “talak-serye” that was launched in 2010 and originally hosted by Amy Perez and Hans Mortel. It gained infamy for showcasing violent antics made by guests who aired their grievances on the program. The original iteration of the show was later canceled in 2013.
However, it was later revived as Face 2 Face with Karla Estrada in 2023, with Alex Callja serving as co-host.
They would later both depart the show, with Korina Sanchez-Roxas taking over as lead host under the title Face To Face: Harapan from November 2024 until March 2026.
