They went on a date with their respective partners in the recent episodes of the program.
On Thursday, September 24, the regional dating shown Wingman, produced by Singaporean broadcaster, Mediacorp dropped two new episodes.
In the latest installments of the show, drama immediately ran high when Cheryl and her wingman Krystal announced their departure from the villa following a tumultuous run.
Soon, a twist also happened when host Germaine Tan announced that two wingmen will get to become singles and officially compete and date any single inside the villa.
There, it was voted upon by the singles that Josh and Yuki will take their wingman bracelets and embrace the competition as part of the singles’ group.
Meanwhile, for two Filipino celebrities who are part of the show, they have also found their own connections inside the villa.
Actor Marco Gallo, 25, has found an unexpected connection with Singapore-based marketing director Yuki—elevating their relationship from being an “unrequited crush” to “feels like home.”
In Episode 6, Yuki, 25, nervously pulled Marco aside to confess that he is the only person in the villa who gives her butterflies – and that if she ever gets the chance to choose someone, there is only one option: him.
Marco’s reaction at the time? He admires her courage, but privately admits: “I don’t feel the same way.”
Then something shifted when in Episode 7, Marco started describing Yuki as the person he can most see a future with.
After winning a game, Marco chose Yuki in the Choosing Ceremony and together, they went on a cable car date.
When Marco pulled out Yuki’s chair, she responds with “grazie mille” – “a thousand thanks” in Italian, a nod to his half-Italian heritage.
Marco, meanwhile, also did some homework of his own, enlisting his fellow contestants to teach him “你今天很美” (“You’re beautiful today”) in Chinese.
The flirting only escalated from there. When Yuki asked about Marco’s tattoos, he jokes that if they are going to start talking about them, he is going to have to start getting naked. Her answer? “I don’t mind, but ok.” Even Marco was caught off guard.
Asked to describe the date in three words, the pair land on two very different answers. Marco goes with “Cardio, tonight, upstairs”, prompting cheers from the villa. Yuki offers the considerably more wholesome: “Feels like home.”
Meanwhile, for L.A Aguinaldo, 33, his connection with Frayya has transcended jealousy as they overcame their first big fight before their date.
L.A was hurt when Frayya, 23, gave Marco one of her hearts during the game, admitting that seeing her reward his “competition” bruises his ego. The disagreement left Frayya in tears and questioning what it means if a game can shake their relationship so easily.
Yet, she still chose him for her next date – much to L.A’s relief. He later admits that if she hadn’t picked him, he probably would have packed his bags and left. As for Frayya, she came to realize that L.A is still the best among the guys inside the villa.
However, it was an adventure date and the two went on to experience adventure. But, even for a tall guy like L.A, who is 6’2″, heights are his biggest fear.
But with Frayya beside him, though, the only way forward was “You jump, I jump.” By the end of the date, L.A told her that being with her feels like “home” – and admitted he has never felt this way about a girl before.
Frayya reciprocated that by saying, “Every moment with him, I feel like my heart is about to jump out of my body.” She goes even further, telling L.A she trusts him more than people she has known for years.
Now down to its last four episodes, the stajes are higher as participants go all-out in the coming episodes to win the $20,000 prize at stake.
The first eight episodes of Wingman are available for free globally on the Mediacorp Entertainment YouTube channel and on mewatch, with two new episodes dropping every Thursday at 12:00 mn (Manila and Singapore time) until the finale on October 8.
