With their contract set to conclude this weekend.
On Tuesday, September 22, Korean management company F&F Entertainment announced the future of the all-female group UNIS.
The said team comprises eight members, namely Hyeonju, Nana, Kotoko, Yunha, Yoona, Seowon, as well as two Filipina idols, who are Gehlee and Elisia.
First, the company expressed their to the team’s fan base, the EverAfter, who have supported the team since their formation through the survival show Universe Ticket and their eventual debut in March 2024 up to the present day.
However, they said that they are writing to inform the pubkictthat the exclusive management contract between UNIS and F&F Entertainment will conclude on September 26, 2026 (Saturday), “following two and a half years of shared experiences fueled by your love and encouragement.”
“We have engaged in ongoing discussions with the members regarding the contract term and future activities. After thorough consultation, we have reached a final decision to conclude official activities as the full group, UNIS, in accordance with the scheduled contract period,” the company explained.
F&F then extended their deepest gratitude to “the members who poured their passion and sincerity into creating countless performances and precious moments under the name UNIS.”
“Although their official activities as UNIS are coming to an end, we will wholeheartedly cheer for the members as they stand at a new starting point, continuing to pursue their dreams and grow in their respective paths,” the continued.
The company then said that the group exists today thanks to EverAfter, whom they thanjed for sharing an “unforgettable and miraculou journey” with UNIS.
They also asked for continued love and warm support for the members as they embark on new challenges.
The said announcement comes a day before the scheduled release of what is now the group’s last music release under F&F Entertainment on September 23 (Wednesday). Entitled Milky Way, it is scheduled to drop at 6:00 pm (Korean time).
The girl group was originally formed via the survival-reality show Universe Ticket, which ran from November 2023 until January 2024.
After the show, they immediately made their debut two months later in March 2024 and dropped their first mini-album entitled We Unis.
Since then, they have also released records such as Curious, Swicy, and the Japanese album Uni Sparkle.
