A timely project as the barangay-level elections are coming in a few months’ time.
On Thursday, September 3, ABS-CBN’s streaming platform iWant officially announced its latest original series that will join its vast library of content.
Entitled Juan and Lily Run for SK, it will see six teen stars from Star Magic, who were all previously part of the Pinoy Big Brother: Celebrity Collab 2.0 season, will be reunited.
Taking the lead in this digital series are the LelQuin tandem of Joaquin Arce and Lella Ford, with Miguel Vergara, Krystal Mejes, Fred Moser, and Eliza Borromeo completing the main cast.
During the story conference, series director Petersen Vargas disclosed that it will be a youth-oriented romantic-comedy series, which will be a “Romeo & Juliet rom-com set inside a youth election.“
Creative producer Irene Villamor furthered, “Meron silang unexpected romance that will develop and, of course, meron din silang friends.”
Joaquin will take an the role of Juan, while Lella will play the part of Lily. Fred is expected to portray Toby, Eliza is Bianca, and Miguel will be Brian in the said series.
At present, the premiere date for this show has not yet been announced.
Juan and Lily Run for SK is the next project for the LelQuin tandem of Joaquin and Lella. Recently, they were also announce to be joining the KaiKyle duo of Kai Montinola and Kyle Echarri for the digital movie ‘First Sem,’ which will stream on Netflix in 2027.
The new series is also the latest original production of the Kapamilya platform iWant, which also streams vertical microdrama, reality and game shows, news and current affairs, dramas and other productions from ABS-CBN, its subsidiaries, and even other media companies.
