The couple has welcomed a new member of their family.
Actress-host and content creator Alex Gonzaga has given birth to her first child with husband, politician Mikee Morada.
In a post on Thursday, August 27, her shapewear brand congratulated the couple for welcoming their son.
“This just in. Our Sizzies family just got bigger!” it said. “Sending the biggest, most heartfelt congratulations to our OG Sizzie,” the post read. Alex is also seen to have liked the said photo, but did not make any comments regarding it.
The news was later confirmed to entertainment publication PEP by Gonzaga’s mother and manager, Pinty Gonzaga, who simply confirmed the baby’s gender.
This news comes days after the actress-host shared a series of pictures from her maternity shoot, where she was also joined by her husband.
“I’ll miss carrying you inside my tummy, my baby. It was like having our own little world,” she wrote in the caption of the photo.
It was last May when Alex personally ended months-long speculations about her condition and confirmed that they were pregnant.
In that post, Alex shared the challenges that they faced in the past six years of their marriage.
“After almost 6 years of marriage and 3 heartbreaking losses, we never lost faith and continued to surrender everything to the Lord,” she said.
She also revealed that they have already sought to undergo in vitro fertilization (IVF) when they received the news that they have conceived their baby.
The couple then thanked everyone who have prayed, hoped, and supported them through their entire journey of becoming parents.
“By God’s grace, our prayers have been answered, and we are finally going to be mommy and daddy,” they happily shared.
“The Lord Jesus truly answers prayers,” the couple added.
