Allowing passengers to postpone their travel due to the adverse weather conditions.
In their respective statements, local carriers Philippine Airlines (PAL) and Cebu Pacific (CEB) have announced that they are offering flexible travel arrangements for passengers.
Both airlines said thta passengers will be th confirmed flights scheduled on Tuesday, August 18 and Wednesday, August 19, are being offered such arrangement.
For PAL passengers, they are directed to contact the company before their scheduled departure and they have the following options.
- Flexible Rebooking – Rebook your flight without penalties. Travel must be completed within 60 days from the original travel date.
- Travel Credit – Convert your ticket into travel credits without penalties for future use.
Passengers who are unable to take their scheduled flight on August 17 may also contact PAL for assistance and alternative travel arrangements.
Meanwhile, passengers who choose to proceed with their travel are advised to allow extra time when going to the airport and to monitor weather, traffic, and road conditions.
For CEB, the flexible arrangements apply for passengers with scheduled flights to and from Manila and Clark on August 18 and 19, and they may choose either of the following through Manage Booking portal.
- Free Rebooking – Rebook your flight without change fees and fare difference within the applicable travel period.
- Travel Fund – Convert the value of booking to a Travel Fund for future use.
Similarly, passengers who did not make it to their August 17 flight may contact their live agents for assistance.
As for passengers who choose to travel as scheduled, they are encouraged to check their flight status before proceeding to the airport, as weather conditions may still affect flight operations.
