A sweet gesture from the rising tennis star.
Before hitting the court on Saturday, August 15, Filipina tennis star Alex Eala took to Instagram to share her special message to her parents, Mike and Rizza Eala, who celebrated their 28th anniversary as a couple.
The 21-year-old told through an Instagram story, “Happy anniversary to the definition of couple goals. Lucky to be part of your love.” There she attached photo of herself hugging her parents.
Meanwhile, in a second story, she stated: “Love Is just too weak of a word,” and shared another family photo including her brother Miko.
The said posts were uploaded by the tennis star ahead of her opening match in the Cincinnati Open in Ohio, USA, where she is expected to go against Elena-Gabriela Ruse in the Round of 64.
Seeded no. 17, the Filipina netter earned a first round bye in the WTA 1000 tournament, which is the third in her North American series.
The world no. 20 previously competed in the DC Open, where she made history as the first Filipino to ever clinch a WTA Tour trophy, and the Canadian Open, where she was able to make it until the Round of 16.
Alex is also expected to compete in the upcoming US Open 2026. She will also participated in a special charity event in the lead up to that, with her close friend, Iva Jonvic, being her opponent in the said match.
