On Friday, August 7, the Korean pop band Stray Kids returned with the release of their 10th mini-album entitled This & That.
According to their official website, this unleashes a “more relaxed energy in their own unique way,” with it blending the team’s attitude through “intense, but free sounds.”
Carrying a total of eight tracks, it features the lead single of the same name, which is described as a “hip-hop-based song that maximizes the group’s signature chill and cool mood.”
“With a languid yet highly addictive melody and lyrics that freely traverse choices, one can feel the solid pride of the eight members saying, ‘We will confidently achieve whatever we desire.’” the group shared.
Same day as the mini-album’s release, the music video was also published and as of this writing, the clip that runs for three-minute and 14 seconds has already amassed more than 7.6 million views, nine hours after it was first released.
In addition to that, seven other new songs are part of this album.
RUN IT, which was first issued as a pre-release single in late June, blends majestic brass and world beat rhythms.
Meanwhile, After You is said to be a “progressive house track depicting the emotions of falling in love at first sight.”
FARMING, they told, is a hip-hop track that “wittily interprets the concept of ‘farming’ in a game,” while the rock track I Do has a “refreshing energy and a catchy hook.”
The an acoustic hip-hop track Way Out is said to be one that captures the calm emotions of a breakup and That Day features a band sound that gives off “memories of a late summer” vibes.
To close the mini-album, the festival version of the title track has also been included.
The group recently confirmed their new world tour called Run It, which began with a five-night show in Seoul between July 25 and August 2.
The tour’s first part will also see the octet visit cities like Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka, Hong Kong, Taipei, Bangkok, and Singapore, with more stops to be announced in due course.
Stray Kids is an eight-member group composed of members, namely Bang Chan, Lee Chan, Changbin, Hyunjin, Han, Felix, Seungmin, and Jeongin (I.N.).
Launched in 2017, the group made their official debut in March 2018 with their extended play I Am Not, which carries the track District 9.
Since then, Stray Kids had released tracks like My Pace, I Am You, Miroh, Side Effects, Double Knot, God’s Menu, Back Door, Thunderous, Christmas EveL, Case 143, and Chk Chk Boom, among others.
