These events happen in the lead-up to the said historic affair.
On Wednesday, July 29 (Manila time), P-pop Kings SB19 performed at the Grammy Museum as part of its Global Spin Live series.
The show, which was moderated by Emily Mei, was described as an “evening of conversation about their upcoming music, career, and more, along with a special performance.”
During the night, the quintet composed of Josh, Stell, Pablo, Felip, and Justin performed their hit single GENTO, as well as their song Wakas from their recent Wakas At Simula album.
They also bonded with fans inside the venue for a question-and-answer portion.
In a post on their official account, the boy band shared, “The Grammy Museum gave us more than a stage. It gave us another reason to keep dreaming bigger.”
“Last night was proof that our journey continues and that our mission to bring Filipino music to the world is far from over. See you on the next global stage,” they added.
The said event comes just two days ahead of the team’s scheduled historic performance at the Lollapalooza Festival at Grant Park in Chicago, Illinois, where they are set to take the stage as the first ever homegrown Filipino act to perform at one of the biggest music festivals in the world.
As previously announced, multiple watch parties have been organized by the Department of Tourism (DOT), as well as private companies for the said performance, which can only be streamed live via Disney+ in the Philippines.
According to the DOT, passes to the free live watch party at the Rizal Park in Luneta, Manila have ran out, although they disclosed other sites where A’TIN around the country could head to for the momentous occasion.
Confirmed sites include the SMX Convention Center Clark in Pampanga, the No. 5 Club in Cebu City, Royal Mandaya Hotel in Davao City, the Government Center in Bacolod City, the Balayong People’s Park in Puerto Princesa, Island City Mall in Tagbilaran, BARcada in Butuan, and SM City Downtown Premier in Cagayan de Oro City.
