In a post on his Instagram account, singer David Archuleta uploaded some throwback pictures as he reminisced the past, specifically his acting stint for Philippine TV network TV5 back in 2012.

In the caption, he greeted his character in the mini-series entitled Nandito Ako, Josh Bradley, who celebrated his fictional birthday on July 15.

“Happy birthday, Josh Bradley. I was reminded recently by some fans that they’d celebrate Josh Bradley Day (July 15th, his birthday) after I played the character for the mini series in the Philippines, Nandito Ako,” he told.

Archuleta also remembered that he sang a version of OPM icon Ogie Alcasid’s classic song of the same title, which the series was named after.

“I thought it would be fun to look back on my experience where I spent over a month there filming,” he added.

Meanwhile, he also found it “hard to believe” how much time had passed since the series, where he was paired with then-TV5 Princesses Jasmine Curtis-Smith and Eula Caballero, made its premiere.

“It’s hard to believe it’s been so many years since Nandito Ako, but the love that has continued for this character and for me beyond the show each time I meet fans from the Philippines, and each time I’ve gone back to do shows there where fans have brought Josh Bradley signs and memorabilia,” he noted.

These items, David furthered, always brings him “nostalgia of filming with the cast and crew with whom I grew so close to during filming.“

He then expressed his gratitude to his Filipino fans who have continued to support him over the years. “Thank you to the filipino fans for supporting my music, my journey, and every chapter in between. I’m so grateful for all of you!” wrote Archuleta.

He also teased in the latter part of his post that he has “a few surprises coming for the Philippines soon…”

David joined seventh season of reality-singing competition American Idol in 2008, where he finished as that season’s runner-up.

He went on to carve his own solo career and released tracks like Crush, A Little Too Not Over You, and Touch My Hand, among others.

Archuleta last visited the Philippines for his The Best Of concert at the New Frontier Theater in Quezon City in September 2024.
