This, as the company is currently in the middle of contract renewal discussions with members of the group.
In a statement on Tuesday, July 14, Korean music label JYP Entertainment responded to the circulating rumors about the status of its ties with TWICE member Tzuyu.
The Taiwanese K-pop star, who has been with the company and the team for nearly 11 years, is said to be leaving the agency, a rumor that has also hounded fellow members Jeongyeon and Jihyo.
In response, the company said, as reported by the Korean entertainment website Soompi, “TWICE is currently in the period of discussing contract renewals, and we will inform you as soon as matters are finalized.”
This development comes days after the group wrapped up their successful This Is For world tour, which was staged to mark the group’s 10th anniversary.
The group brought the said tour to the country in October 2025, having staged the show at the Philippine Arena in Bulacan.
Aside from the Philippines, also part of the first leg of this tour are Incheon, Korea; Osaka, Aichi, Fukuoka, and Tokyo in Japan; Macao; Singapore; Sydney and Melbourne, Australia; Kaohsiung, Taiwan; Hong Kong; and Bangkok, Thailand, with more stops in Europe and North America.
In July 2025, the team dropped their fourth full-length album, the tour’s namesake This Is For. It was later followed by the anniversary album entitled TEN: The Story Goes On in October of that year.
TWICE debuted in 2015 after the final line-up — comprising Nayeon, Jeongyeon, Momo, Sana, Jihyo, Mina, Dahyun, Chaeyoung, and Tzuyu — determined through the survival-reality show Sixteen.
They went on to release a string popular singles starting with their debut single Like Ooh-ahh, followed by Cheer Up, TT, LIKEY, Heartshaker, and Yes Or Yes, among many others.
