It has been a long time since his last full-length project on TV.
This July 27, the new ABS-CBN series Someone, Someday will make its premiere on free-to-air and pay television.
For one of the series’ lead stars, James Reid, it is a new chapter in his career as he is making his comeback on primetime TV through this project.
Prior to this, James was last seen on the Primetime Bida in 2017 through the romantic drama series Till I Met You with his former on-screen partner Nadine Lustre.
For his return, tbe Multimedia Prince will portray Jordan Valentin, who is described as “a good son, artist, and protector.”
He is the bestfriend of Kathryn Bernardo’s Bill, who always goes to rescue her during tricky situations — going as far as getting into a physical altercation with the character of McCoy De Leon just to protect her.
His selfless personality is also reflected as he takes care for his ailing grandfather (Leo Rialp) following the unsolved case of his mother’s death.
James’ musical expertose also shines through his character, as he will be have the singles Pauwi Na and Sandal launched in the series.
“I just felt like now is the right time to come back. I haven’t played a character like this,” James noted during a media conference on Tuesday, July 14.
He also shared his excitement in working with Kathryn, as well as their fellow lead star Maja Salvador. “I’m so excited for everyone to see how Kath and I, and also Maja bring these characters to life,” he added.
Aside from them, also part of the drama series are Dimples Romana, Rowell Santiago, Rita Avila, McCoy De Leon, Daniela Stranner, and introducing Migz Casimiro.
It is directed by Chad V. Vidanes and Dolly Dulu.
Someone, Someday will air starting July 27 at 8:45 pm on ABS-CBN sa ALLTV2, TV5, A2Z, Kapamilya Channel, and Kapamilya Online Live on YouTube and Facebook.
Episodes will also stream first on Netflix beginning July 24 and on iWant on July 25, with the showwil also available abroad via The Filipino Channel (TFC).
