It was a message directed to the group.
In a post on her Instagram story, Filipina pop star Sophia Laforteza, a member of the girl group KATSEYE, revealed a letter that she, along with the rest of the group, received from none other than Olivia Rodrigo.
In the message, the 23-year-old Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter addressed each of the five active members of the group, which are Sophia, Daniela, Lara, Megan, and Yoonchae.
It read, “I just wanted to say a massive thank you for being a part of this festival.”
Olivia refers to the upcoming Daisy Chain Fields Festival she is organizing this August in California, where KATSEYE is confirmed to be one of the acts in the all-women music fest.
The good 4 u singer continued, “You girls are superstars in every sense of the word and I am honored to share this bill with you girls.”
To conclude her message, she wrote: “Thanks again. I cannot wait to watch you guys smash it!“
Also set to perform at Daisy Chain Fields are Olivia herself, Chappell Roan, Doechii, Bikini Kill, Divine Spitz, Eli, Garbage, Mitski, Not For Radio, Quiet Light, Rachel Chinouriri, Santiagold, and The Breeders.
Meanwhile, named special guests are Karen O, Sarah McLachlan, and Stevie Nicks, with the show set to happen at the Great Park in Irvine, California on August 29, 2026.
According to Rodrigo, the net proceeds from the Daisy Chain Fields will 100 percent go to charities dedicated to advancing and advocating for women and girls.
