A step into a more inclusive pageant landscape.
In a statement issued by the Promociones Gloria, the company behind the Reina Hispanoamericana pageant, it announced a major change in its qualifications.
Beginning with its 2027 edition, the pageant will officially open its doors to single mothers.
“This decision marks an important step in our evolution, recognizing that beauty, leadership, preparation, and dreams know no limits,” it pointed out.
The company furthered, “Many extraordinary women have embraced the beautiful journey of motherhood while continuing to pursue their personal and professional goals.”
According to them, potential candidates must be between 18 and 33 years of age and meet all other requirements established by the organization.
“We firmly believe that this new chapter will allow more inspiring women to become part of the Reina Hispanoamericana family, enriching our platform with their stories of dedication, love, resilience, and perseverance,” it continued.
Lastly, Reina Hispanoamericana emphasized: “Because being a mother is also a symbol of strength, commitment, and greatness.”
The Bolivia-based pageant is held annually and comprise of delegates from the Hispanosphere, with a total of 35 countries participating.
The Philippines has been sending representatives in the past decade and had already won twice in the said pageant, with the first being actress Winwyn Marquez in 2016 and singer Dia Mate in 2025.
