SM Sports and Leisure Center has launched the SM Active Hub Pickleball Trio Challenge last weekend.

The series features five qualifying legs and one final across select SM malls, with the first one held at SM City Bicutan last May 17.

In the coming weeks, it will be held in other branches: May 24 at SM City Sta. Mesa, June 7 at SM City Santa Rosa, June 28 at SM City Marikina, and July 5 at SM Center Muntinlupa.

The finals of the challenge will take place on July 12 at Four E-Com Center in Pasay City, which is the newest pickleball venue of SM Active Hub featuring six courts.

The challenge is open to the DUPR 9 and DUPR 11 categories, with the Trio Challenge also introducing a unique format in which teams of three must include at least one woman — promoting inclusivity, strategy, and stronger team dynamics.

According to SM, registration is priced at PHP 5,700 per team to the tournament that seeks to offer players more ways to stay active, compete, and connect.

We are committed to providing them (athletes) with a space to develop their abilities and give them opportunities to hone their talents—proving that winning begins at SM Bowling and SM Game Park,” said SM Supermalls Senior Assistant Vice President for Sports and Leisure Joseph Francis Silva.

He added, “By bringing together communities and future champions, SM Supermalls continues to deliver a maxed-out experience—creating opportunities where athletes can grow, compete, and win.”
