It will be her first series in two years.

It will be her first series in two years.

On Tuesday, April 14, streaming service Prime Video unveiled the list of shows that will be coming to the platform this year.

Included in the star-studded line-up is a collaboration of the platform with broadcast giant GMA Network topbilled by no less than the Kapuso Primetime Queen herself, Marian Rivera.

Entitled Behind Closed Doors, the series is under the helm of Dominic Zapata, who is behind serials such as Alyas Robin Hood, Mulawin Vs. Ravena, Royal Blood, Akusada, and the upcoming drama The Master Cutter, which stars Rivera’s other half and the Kapuso Primetime King, Dingdong Dantes.

As per the logline, Marian will portray the character of a radio journalist who has an affair with the president of the Philippines, which will be played in a special participation by Dingdong.

That extramarital affair will later be exposed as Marian’s character becomes the suspect in the assassination of the President.

It will then mar her relationship with her daughter in the story, which will be played by Jillian Ward.

At present, other details, such as other cast members and the tentative premiere date, of the show have yet to be revealed.

Behind Closed Doors will mark Marian’s return to drama, more than two years after she made her teleserye comeback through the fantasy-family drama My Guardian Alien in 2024.

Since then, she has starred in the movie Balota,  which earned her a recognition as Best Actress in Cinemalaya 2024, as well as concentrated in the weekly anthology series Tadhana, which airs every Saturday afternoon.
