She is “grateful” as she welcomes a new year of her life.
On Sunday, April 19, Kapamilya actress-host-performer Kim Chiu uploaded on social media some new stills that she took to mark her 36th birthday.
The said photoshoot centered around the theme of horses, which is grounded on the fact that Kim was born in 1990, the Year of the Horse in Chinese zodiac.
But the animal was not only a background, as Kim posed side-by-side and even rode a white horse for the special shoot.
In the caption, she wrote: “They say those born in the Year of the Horse are meant to run— not away, but toward their purpose.“
“This year, I choose courage over fear, growth over comfort, and gratitude over everything. Every step, every stumble, every win—part of my story. And I’m just getting started,” the multi-hyphenate declared. “Cheers to another year of becoming.”
Alongside the images, the It’s Showtime host and ASAP mainstay also shared a reel containing a behind-the-scene look at the shoot. In the subtitles of the clip, she also shared her realizations over the past year.
“I didn’t notice it at first, but life was already changing me. There were moments I didn’t understand what I am going through. But I kept showing up anyway,” Kim wrote.
She continued, “I learned to sit with silence…and listen to what my heart really [said]. I stopped fixing what I was meant to outgrow. I became stronger without even realizing it. I stopped chasing… and started trusting.”
“I found peace exactly where I am. And now I see it… The rain didn’t break me. It made me,” she exclaimed.
Aside from the above-mentioned variety shows, Kim is also seen every weeknight on the TV version of her mystery-suspense drama The Alibi, where she stars alongside on-screen partner Paulo Avelino.
This week, she was also officially announced to be teaming up with him for their fifth project together, which is the Prime Video series entitled Kopino.
