Last weekend, SM Supermalls reported that more than 32,000 runners filled two major race events in SM Mall of Asia in Pasay and its two major malls in Cebu City.

It noted that 16,500 runners joined the 2026 Filipina CEO Circle (FCC) Women’s Run PH in celebration of International Women’s Day and Women’s Month at the SM Mall of Asia.

They ran along the scenic seaside roads of the complex under the theme Strength, Grace, and Honor.

Of the total number of participants in the third year of the annual activity, 90% of them were women, with the run continuing to grow as a platform promoting women’s health, empowerment, and community through running.

Meanwhile, in Cebu, the SM2SM Run 2026 gathered 15,500 runners for its 14th year, marking an historic high for the event that reinforced its position as one of th e biggest in the region.

The race connected two iconic landmarks, starting at SM Seaside City Cebu and finishing at SM City Cebu, with 40% of participants being women—a record that reflects the growing participation of women in the country’s running community.

Across more than 90 malls nationwide, SM Supermalls has built one of the country’s largest  while they dine, shop, or spend time with family.

A raffle was also made with an electric car as the grand prize, with SM noting that it has one of the largest electric vehicle charging networks, allowing guests to charge their vehicles for free during mall hours.

Through this integrated network, it said, “SM actively promotes the shift to cleaner mobility by making EV adoption more practical, accessible, and part of everyday consumer behavior.”

Across its nationwide network, SM Supermalls has become a natural hub for runners by hosting major race events and providing everyday spaces for training and their activities through SM Active Hub, their sports and wellness platform.

The said ecosystem spans 24 malls with dedicated running paths, supports 45 active running clubs, and has mounted 55 running events to date.
