But they assured that the flights will proceed as scheduled.
In its advisory on Tuesday, January 27, the New NAIA Infra Corp. (NNIC), which operates the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA), advised passengers of a temporary, scheduled interruption this evening.
This will take place at the busy Terminal 3, which handles both international and domestic flights, as part of ongoing electrical upgrades.
It will begin at 11:00 pm on Tuesday, January 27 to 3:00 am on Wednesday, January 28.
“Flights will continue as scheduled, and essential services such as check-in, immigration, security screening, and baggage handling will remain operational through temporary power,” the management assured passengers.
Although, as part of the activity, some non-essential facilities such as selected boarding bridges, partial lighting in certain areas, and selected escalators and elevators may be temporarily unavailable, according to NNIC.
“Our airport teams will be on standby throughout the activity to assist passengers and ensure safe and smooth terminal operations. Thank you for your understanding,” it ended its statement.
