With national athletes serving as the faces of this line.
This March, fashion retail giant Penshoppewill be expanding its lifestyle offerings with the launch of Penshoppe Play, the its newest activewear line, which is designed for people who enjoy moving their own way.
With the line, the brand aims to take off the pressure on how being active looks like, as it is created for those who move through their busy days in their own way—whether it’s a quick walk, a casual workout, a weekend activity with friends, or simply being on the go.
To help bring Penshoppe Play‘s message of embracing movement as part of everyday life, the brand welcomes Southeast Asian Games athletes Kira Ellis and Elijah Cole, who competed for the Philippines, as the first faces of PENSHOPPE PLAY.
Both are national athletes, but more importantly, they also represent authenticity, discipline, and a genuine love for movement.
Triathlete Kira Ellis embodies balance and consistency, as she moves between sport, training, and daily life with confidence and ease.
She told about the new line, “Penshoppe Play is about showing up as you are and for me, it represents the freedom to live an active life without losing your sense of style.”
Meanwhile, Elijah Cole is a national pole vaulter that brings energy and individuality to the campaign. He reflects the brand’s belief that movement coesn’t have to be intimidating to be meaningful.
“Movement has always been part of who I am, not just as an athlete but as a person. Penshoppe Play reflects that in how it’s designed for real movement in everyday life,” Cole furthered.
For his part, Penshoppe Vice President Brandon Liu emphasized that while the new line is worn by athletes, the brand is clear about its intent: it was designed for people who enjoy being active, at any pace, in any way, simply because it feels good to move.
“Penshoppe Play is about removing the pressure. It’s for people who want to move, explore, and have fun, without labels, benchmarks, or expectations,” he said.
Liu also revealed the process that went into the development of the new product, which took time—especially with Penshoppe wanting to take part in the activewear space that stayed true to its brand values. Through extensive prototyping, the focus was placed on ease and accessibility.
The first collection from the line takes cues from what athletes wear before, after, or in between training, as well as when things are relaxed and effortless. Moreover, it boasts of athleisure that feels lived-in, not overly technical or fully geared up.
With its official launch happening in March, Penshoppe Play want the public to see movement differently: lighter, freer, and more personal, highlighting that “when movement feels like play, showing up becomes easier.”
The new Penshoppe Play pieces can be accessed via the official website and physical stores nationwide.
