Becky Armstrong takes lead role in ‘Girl From Nowhere: The Reset’

She is the new face of Nanno.

In a poster that was unveiled on Wednesday, January 14, Netflix Thailand announced the new actress that will take on the character of Nanno in the upcoming series Girl From Nowhere: The Reset.

23-year-old actress-singer Becky Armstrong will take the lead role in the show, which will begin streaming on March 7.

If everything is the same, it wouldn’t be called karma. When the world as it is, it still seems to need a Nanno to come to its senses,” read the caption of the post in Thai.

This series will also not be related to the original The Girl From Nowhere, which ran for two seasons in 2018 and 2021 with Kitty Chicha Amatayakul portraying the immortal entity that is Nanno, who fought against injustices in different schools.

The original series also grew a sizeable following in the Philippines, having ranked among the leading shows during its initial streaming at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Meanwhile, Becky started out by playing the supporting role Thanya in TharnType 2: Years Of Love in 2020.

She would eventually land major role in Thailand’s first girls’ love series, Gap: The Series, where she was paired with Freen Sarocha to form the tandem FreenBecky. Eventually, they would star together anew in other projects like Secret Crush On You and The Loyal Pin.
