It is their first time to have a full-length project together.

On Wednesday, January 14, pan-Asian streaming platform Viu officially announced its latest original project that will star two of the country’s biggest stars.

A collaboration of the platform with local content giant Viva Communications, Inc., the series Love, Siargao will be top-billed by the people’s President Nadine Lustre and Asia’s Multimedia Star Alden Richards.

During the project’s launch event at the Viva Café in Quezon City, Viu Philippines country manager Vinchi Sy-Quia shared, “Here at Viu Philippines, what we’ve been trying to do is always bring Filipino content to the world stage.”

He also highlighted that the series will be made in “one of the most beautiful places in the Philippines” with both Alden and Nadine is a “big deal.”

On behalf of Viva, its president and COO Vincent Del Rosario thanked Viu and hoped to collaborate with the streamer for more projects in the future.

Being able to work with Nadine in this project, also, I’m really looking forward kasi I have seen a lot of [her] work na… Being part of this project, it’s an honor for me. Maraming salamat,” said Alden.

As for Nadine, she admitted that the story is close to her heart, as she had been victimized by the “Siargao curse,” having lived on the island for a few years now.

I’m so happy that I’m finally doing another series. I know it’s been a long time,” she added.

The Viu original series is scheduled to air sometime in 2026.
