‘Y Speak’ to return with new set of hosts in 2026

It was an iconic youth-oriented currnet affairs show in the 2000s.

In a series of posts on Saturday, priest and TV personality Fr. Tito Caluag shared a news that will come as a delight to both the 2000s youth and Gen Zs.

He revealed that ABS-CBN current affairs show Y Speak, which first aired on channel 2 in 2004 and its most of its six-year run on Studio 23, will be making its return in 2026.

In his earlier post, Caluag shared, “Over the past two decades, there were plans and attempts to revive the show. This 2026, this long standing ‘dream’ will finally become a reality by the end of the first quarter of this year.

He then went on to reveal the group that will take over the hosting duties in the revival of the program, which was presented by Bianca Gonzalez, Karen Davila, and Ryan Agoncillo during its original run.

The four new Y Speakers are Elijah Canlas, Ralph de Leon, River Joseph, and KD Estrada, with their two female co-hosts still being worked out.

According to Fr. Tito, “Y Speak will be a civics education and formation program focusing primarily on the youth as its main audience. It will air in different platforms across two networks.

He added that there will also be on ground partnerships with the social action centers of Caritas Philippines.

At present, the official premiere date and teasers for Y Speak are yet to be revealed.
