On Wednesday, July 9, ABS-CBN’s over-the-top service iWant was officially relaunched with a new look.
Taking on the name which it previously used from 2018 to 2020, the app now boasts a better user interface, in-app search engine, personalization, and brand formats for advertisers, among others.
• ABS-CBN bids farewell to iconic Broadcasting Center, Millennium Transmitter (July 10, 2025)
Bosses, employees, and personalities gathered at its Quezon City headquarters for one major occasion for the entirety of ABS-CBN.
Apart from filming a new ident, the Kapamilyas were there to witness the start of the farewell bid to the historic facilities of the media giant, which are the Broadcasting Centre and Millennium Transmitter tower.
• ‘My Love Will Make You Disappear’ tops Netflix movie chart on debut (July 12, 2025)
Last Thursday, July 10, the blockbuster movie ‘My Love Will Make You Disappear’ was added to the content library of streaming service Netflix.
After its successful theatrical run, ‘MLWMYD’ immediately made a splash in the digital realm, climbing to the number 1 spot of the Top 10 Movies in the Philippines chart of Netflix.

Through a post on her Instagram account, Kapamilya actress Belle Mariano gave her 3.8 million followers a peek into her new home.

K-pop star Mingi of the boy band ATEEZ released stills from his recent campaign for the global clothing brand Calvin Klein.
• iWant original series ‘Ghosting’ starring Fyang Smith, JM Ibarra now streaming (July 19, 2025)
The original series was made exclusively available on ABS-CBN’s iWant, which relaunched under the new name and a sleeker, user-friendly interface last July 9.
• Donny Pangilinan, Belle Mariano spotted together again at Star Magic All-Star Games 2025 (July 22, 2025)
Much to the delight of DonBelle fans, Donny Pangilinan dropped some photos of his highlights during the Star Magic All-Star basketball match, where his team narrowly won with a three-point lead over Anbolibabols.
In one of the photos, Donny was seated beside Belle Mariano, who was seen carrying a giant photo cutout of him, as their fans stood behind the duo.

In his In•stagram post, the 28-year-old actor-musician was seen sporting a military buzz cut after undergoing another haircut session.
He was also seen in the same set of photos to have bonded with his fellow ASTRO members MJ, Jinjin, and Sanha, as well as late member Moonbin’s sister Moon Sua of the girl group Billlie, and with his pet Dongdongie.

Last August 22, the 73rd Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) Awards was held at the historic landmark that is The Manila Hotel in the City of Manila.
In this edition, the award-giving body reviewed and recognized movies and personalities that were screened in the past year.
The Best Actor title was shared by Vice Ganda and Arjo Atayde for their respective roles in ‘And The Breadwinner Is…’ and ‘Topakk’—two entries to the 50th Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) in 2024.
Marian Rivera then took home this year’s Best Actress award for her portrayal in the Cinemalaya 2024 entry ‘Balota’.
Nadine Lustre emerged on top of her own category as she won the Best Supporting Actress trophy for ‘Uninvited,’ which was also an entry to the 50th MMFF.

A special treat for BarDa fans as the Kapuso Primetime Princess, Barbie Forteza, and Pambansang Ginoo, David Licauco, were seen together in one frame again.

Studio Viva shared a sneak preview of the upcoming debut film of Ashtine Olviga and Andres Muhlach, also known as the love team AshDres.
• AHOF to perform before Filipino fans for the first time at ‘Rendezvous’ fan-con in Manila (August 29, 2025)
The work immediately started for the rookie K-pop group the moment they arrived in the country on Friday, as they headed straight to a hotel in Pasay City to face the local press and influencers at the media conference for their ‘Rendezvous’ fan-con, which happened the following day, Saturday, August 30.
• Alex Eala clinches historic Guadalajara Open 2025 championship (September 7, 2025)
Filipina tennis star Alex Eala competed in the finals match of the Guadalajara 125 Open 2025 in Mexico, where she won her first WTA 125 trophy.
Her victory in this match also helped her achieve the impeccable record of a clean winning streak in Guadalajara.

Through a poster that was uploaded on their account on Monday, September 8, Korean pop group ATEEZ announced the staging of their 2026 world tour. Titled ‘In Your Fantasy,’ the concert series will be brought to multiple cities across Asia and Australia, including the Philippines
• Judy Ann Santos joins MMFF Hall of Fame led by National Artists Ricky Lee, Nora Aunor (September 14, 2025)
The Metro Manila Film Festival (MMFF) officially launched its 50th Coffee Table Book at the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF) 2025 in Pasay City.
During the program, the film fest gave out the first copies of the book to the esteemed group of Hall of Famers, who won three times or more in the same category.
These were Ricky Lee, Jose Javier Reyes, Lee Briones-Meily, Roy Iglesias, and Nora Aunor—whose copy was received by her daughter, actress Lotlot de Leon.
Meanwhile, the newly inducted members of the club are Judy Ann Santos and production designer Ericson Navarro.
• ‘Seducing Drake Palma’ stars Rabin Angeles, Angela Muji tease first movie together (September 14, 2025)
One of the highlights of Rabin and Angela’s segment was the surprise teaser drop that stunned RabGel fans at the Manila International Book Fair (MIBF).
In the clip, which has since been uploaded by Studio Viva on their official accounts, sees an eye with the names of the two stars and the line “soon in cinemas” coming right after it.
The last part caused the supporters at the venue to scream on top of their lungs, as that meant that Rabin and Angela will be seen on the big screen very soon.
