As the line offers free rides to all passengers today.
On Christmas Day, Thursday (December 25), Manila’s MRT-3 line redeployed one of its Dalian trainsets for revenue service.
The 3-car train, which has been doing multiple appearances since July, was utilized as the train line holds the last of its 12 Days of Christmas program, which offers free rides to passengers, alongside LRT-1 and LRT-2.
For the last day of the program, access to trains for all passengers is free across the three lines.
He also assured the public that the 3-car Dalian trainset, which has been marred with technical disparities with the line itself, underwent rigorous safety and utilization procedures before it was allowed to operate.
The trainset could serve up to 1,156 passengers per trip, according to the Department of Transportation.
