He has responded to the rumors circulating online.
In a video message uploaded on Monday, December 22, singer Zack Tabudlo responded to claims circulating about him on social media.
In particular, many netizens commented on his alleged foul smell during his recent performance at the annual Paskuhan event of the University of Santo Tomas (UST), which stemmed from a video of him looking sweaty.
“Today, I wanna talk about a certain topic that I feel like celebrities and artists don’t lean towards to, especially with their management because of their name being dragged down or just names in general and being a public figure,” he said.
Zack then explained that his set happened at noontime while he was jumping all over to hype up the crowd, which explains why he was sweaty in the clip.
The Voice Kids judge then told that the comments that were posted online went beyond mere observations and became personal attacks on him.
“I guess I’ve been in the industry for a while that I’ve gone through so much rumors that it numbs you and you get to a certain point where you see these comments, it sucks but at the same time you’re like: ‘Damn, people don’t change.’,” he furthered.
In the same clip, he also made reference to the issues that were thrown at him over the years and told, “…I’m painted in social media as this smelly, ugly kid who has an attitude, who’s always late, who doesn’t dress good, who is fat, ugly and can’t sing, slams doors at people when it’s not 10:15.”
He then shared that that image, however, is in contrast with his real personality that his inner circle, including his family and friends, knows.
“And now all the… dreams that I’ve worked on, which is this artist, becomes a secondary. And the first thing you guys know me of is ‘this’ person because this is about him,” he reflected on what is happening.
To end, the singer said that he just wanted to raise awareness using his platform. “And guys, we’re all human. We’re all human at the end of the day. And being nice isn’t the hardest thing to do. Be nice guys.”
