A new rom-com series is coming soon.
On Wednesday, December 10, streaming giant Netflix unveiled the poster for the upcoming Korean drama series entitled Can This Love Be Translated?.
The show kicks off the platform’s 2026 offering strongly, as it will see Kim Seon-ho and Go Youn-jung star in a story written by the iconic Hong Sisters, Hong Jung-eun and Hong Mi-ran, who is also behind Alchemy of Souls, Hotel Del Luna, and The Master’s Sun.
Kim will portray the role of Joo Ho-jin, multilingual interpreter. Meanwhile, Go will play the part of Cha Mu-hee, a world-famous celebrity. Together, their lives will be entangled in a “delightfully topsy-turvy romance,” the streamer said.
Under the direction of Yoo Young-eun (Bloody Heart), known for her elegant mise-en-scène and emotional storytelling, the series will deliver a sweeping visual journey worthy of its cross-border love story.
Can This Love Be Translated? was filmed across stunning locations in Japan, Canada, Italy, and more. Other cast members include Sota Fukushi, Lee E-dam, and Choi Woo-sung.
The series is set to make its premiere on January 16, 2026 on Netflix.
Kim Seon-ho is known for his roles in When Life Gives You Tangerines, Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha, and Start-Up.
A rising global favorite, Go Youn-jung has starred in multiple hit series led by Sweet Home, Alchemy of Souls: Light and Shadow, and Resident Playbook.
