K-pop group AHOF to join GMA’s 2026 countdown at Mall of Asia

In a post on late Thursday night (December 11), the official social media pages of SM Mall of Asia dropped a major announcement for Filipino FOHAs.

The shopping and lifestyle complex, although the members’ faces were still partially dimmed, revealed that the rookie K-pop group AHOF will be returning to the Philippines later this month.

It is not just for any event either, as the team is set to grace the grand New Year countdown event organized by the mall in partnership with local media giant GMA Network, which is one of the biggest celebrations in Metro Manila, on December 31, 2025.

The post’s caption read: “Who’s bringing the heat this New Year’s Eve? Watch them take over mOA’s New Year Countdown to 2026!

Embedded as the background was the band’s latest single, Pinocchio, which instantly gave away the answer to the fans who have speculated their appearance long before the official post from the organizers.

The entirety of the live event—which offers free admission—will run from 8:30 pm up to past 12:00 mn on January 1, 2026 along the stretch of Seaside Blvd. at the Mall of Asia Complex in Pasay City.

With this development, AHOF is also set to make their official Philippine TV debut by way of the television broadcast of the countdown, whcih is expected to happen at around 10:30 pm (Philippine time).

Aside from the K-pop stars, also part of the countdown party are several local stars from GMA Network’s own stable such as Julie Anne San Jose, Christian Bautista, Rayver Cruz, Kyline Alcantara, Rocco Nacino, Faith da Silva, Angel Guardian, Betong Sumaya, Will Ashley, Charlie Flemming, AZ Martinez, Vince Maristela, and Josh Ford.

AHOF was created through the survival-reality program Universe League, which aired from November 2024 until January 2025. They are the first boy band under F&F Entertainment, which is also home to UNIS.

The team comprises of nine members, namely JL, Cha Woongki, Park Han, Steven, Zhang Shuaibo, Park Juwon, Seo Jeongwoo, Chih En, and Daisuke.

Last July, they made their debut with their first mini-album Who We Are, which carried the songs Rendezvous and The Universe, among others.

Just a month after their launch, in late August, the band visited the Philippines for their sold-out Rendezvous fan-con and the jampacked mall fansigning event.

Last November, AHOF made their music comeback with their second mini-album entitled The Passage, which featured the track Pinocchio as its lead single.
