In the end, it was a 3-2 win for Morocco, which also spelled the end for the Filipina5 contention at the first futsal world cup.
Coach Rafa Merino then stated that the first goals that the team made in the earlier part of the match surprised them.
“I think that scoring two goals in such a short period of time surprised us a bit, and it took us out of the game plan that we had.”
Despite that, the Philippine team still has one final chance to intensify history, as they are set to battle world no. 6 Argentina on Thursday, November 27.
