Earlier this month, Philippine Airlines (PAL) officially introduced the myPAL eSIM, which has been developed in partnership with Kolet, which boast a global network in over 190 countries.
The said eSIM has been designed to enhance the travel experience of its passengers, as the offering provides all PAL passengers with 1GB of complimentary mobile data valid for two days.
According to the flag carrier, the myPAL eSIM is its response to the “evolving needs of travelers by eliminating the hassle of physical SIM cards and costly roaming charges.“
The said digital product covers all PAL destinations and ensures reliable connectivity powered by leading telecom providers, making it easier to communicate, navigate and access travel information for its users.
Through the airline’s collaboration with Kolet, international passengers can also conveniently activate their eSIM and gain immediate access to mobile data services.
Passengers can redeem complimentary data in two ways – the PAL Kolet co-branded website (Kolet – Next-gen eSIM) and the Kolet mobile application where passengers may enter the promo code FLYPAL.
Once the free data allocation has been consumed, users may conveniently top up via the app or website, selecting from a variety of regional and global data plans, some of which are valid for up to 30 days.
Philippine Airlines’ Vice President for Revenue Management, Christoph Gaertner, noted: “The introduction of myPAL eSIM aligns with our vision of providing a complete and digitally empowered travel experience.”
