“The ones we love can hurt us the most.”
That is the one-liner the production company Studio Viva and streaming platform Viva One used to describe the story of its hit digital series ‘Ang Mutya Ng Section E,’ which will soon return with its second book dubbed as ‘The Dark Side’.
In the nearly four-minute-long trailer unveiled on Tuesday, November 18, fans and viewers were able to see a change in the dyanmics of the entire class and the feelings of the main characters evolve.
Keifer (Andres Muhlach) attempts to snatch Jayjay‘s (Ashtine Olviga) after her engagement to Yuri (Rabin Angeles) at the end of the first season.
However, that is not the only hurdle they have to go through, as buried secrets from the past haunt the present.
Also part of ‘Ang Mutya Ng Section E: The Dark Side’ are André Yllana, Ethan David, Charles Law, Derick Ong, Michael Keith, AJ Ferrer, Daniel Ong, Frost Sandoval, Keagan De Jesus, Kurt Delos Reyes, Kyosu Guinto, Martin Venegas, Nic Galvez, Rafa Victorino, Sam Shoaf, Yanyan De Jesus, Angela Muji, Heart Ryan, Rafa Victorino, Jastine Lim, and Sara Joe.
Veteran actress Nanette Inventor, Yayo Aguila, are also returning in the series, with the newcomers in the cast including the likes of Joko Diaz, Nathalie Hart, Jeffrey Hidalgo, Billy Villeta, and Rhen Escaño, Taneo of the P-pop group ALAMAT, Austin Dizon, Zeke Polina, and Rommel Luna.
Directed by Petersen Vargas, the show is slated to stream exclusively on Viva One this December 4.
