Viva One drops scene from ‘Ang Mutya Ng Section E: The Dark Side’ ahead of December 4 premiere

On Friday, November 14, Studio Viva and streaming platform Viva One dropped a scene from the upcoming second book of its hit live-action adaptation, Ang Mutya Ng Section E: The Dark Side.

In the nearly two-minute-long video, Keifer (played by Andres Muhlach) attempts to get close to and seduce Jayjay (portrayed by Ashtine Olviga), who is now engaged to Yuri (Rabin Angeles).

Jayjay rejects Keifer and told him her engagement as the reason behind it. However, the man assured her that they are not cheating on Yuri, as they do not have a relationship.

The scene ends with a cliffhanger, with the faces of both lead stars being so close to each other that they could kiss.

According to the numbers posted by Viva One, views for the scene drop crossed the 11 million mark within 24 hours.

The clip was also uploaded weeks ahead of the scheduled premiere of the drama series this December 4.

Aside from Ashtine, Andres, and Rabin, also part of the series are André Yllana, Ethan David, Charles Law, Derick Ong, Michael Keith, AJ Ferrer, Daniel Ong, Frost Sandoval, Keagan De Jesus, Kurt Delos Reyes, Kyosu Guinto, Martin Venegas, Nic Galvez, Sam Shoaf, Yanyan De Jesus, Angela Muji, Heart Ryan, Rafa Victorino, Jastine Lim, and Sara Joe.

Veteran actress Nanette Inventor, Lander Vera Perez, Yayo Aguila, and Katya Santos were also seen in the series.

Meanwhile, there will also be new faces for season two. Joko Diaz is in as Kaizer Watson, Nathalie Hart will play Serina Watson, Jeffrey Hidalgo is Andy, Billy Villeta will play Dylan, and Rhen Escaño as Honey Bee Ryder.

Taneo of the P-pop group ALAMAT will also make his acting debut in the second season as Ryosuke Sato, along with another newcomer, Austin Dizon, who will be doing  Jason.

The first season of Ang Mutya Ng Section E, comprising of 16 episodes, streamed from January to April 2025.

It is based on Wattpad novel created by Lara Flores, with the show gaining high viewership both in the country and internationally.

After its successful digital run, TV5 picked up the mini-series for a primetime free-to-air television run from May until July.
