The department has disproved the post.
Earlier in the week, a post circulated on social media, which indicated that the current Senior High School curriculum (Grades 11 and 12) would be abolished by the end of the school year.
This card had since reached thousands of users online, prompting the Department of Education (DepEd) to address it.
In a statement posted on the DepEd’s Facebook page, it denied what it called as “misinformation” being spread on social networking sites.
The department then reminded people to be cautious and vigilant of posts that they see and interact with online and report those deliberately spreading falsehoods.
Lastly, DepEd said that official announcements about the basic education system will be shared on its social media accounts.
