It is the official theme song of their first movie together.
On Friday, September 26, Viva Records dropped the official music video for the song ‘Minamahal,’ which was recorded by Ashtine Olviga and Andres Muhlach, popularly known as AshDres.
The four-minute-clip features the two stars as they breathe new life into Dana Paulene and Earl Agustin’s heartfelt ballad.
As per the description provided by the label in the video, “Their rendition transforms the already tender love song into a duet that feels both cinematic and deeply personal, especially since it’s going to be one of the soundtracks for their upcoming film.”
It added, “With Ashtine’s warm, emotive vocals intertwining seamlessly with Andres’ earnest delivery, the track highlights the delicate push-and-pull of affection, longing, and vulnerability.”
At present, the video has been viewed more than 136,000 times on YouTube since it was uploaded on Friday.
The song is the sound track of their launching film, ‘Minamahal: 100 Bulaklak Para Kay Stella,’ which is under the direction of Jason Paul Laxamana—who is also at helm of the ‘100 Awit Para Kay Stella,’ the sequel of ‘100 Tula Para Kay Stella,’ which was released last September 10.
Andres and Ashtine were first paired in the hit digital series ‘Ang Mutya Ng Section E,’ which premiered in January 2025 on the Viva One streaming platform and later aired on free-to-air station TV5 from May to July.
Recently, Studio Viva dropped the first look on the new characters and storyline for the second season, which has been subtitled ‘The Dark Side,’ although the official release date for the book two has yet to be announced.
